ABOUT US

Finally in 1989 I was able to start my own outfitting business.  Only I choose to lease private ground.  I have found that hunting on a private ranch has proven to provide quality hunts.  First of all you do not have other Outfitters or local hunters hunting on top of you.  You deal only with the land owner and the hunters in your group.  Second we can manage the deer and elk populations for we only take 6 hunters a week.  We also let young hunters come in and shoot bulls and bucks that do not produce good genetics.  We try very hard to keep our bulls and bucks outstanding for our clients.  We also work with the land owner to make sure he is happy and we are taking care of his land.

I have 4 guides who have been with me for a very long time. They have a lot of experience in the field and know the terrain and understand the elk and deer herds.  It is very important to them to give you every opportunity to see and shoot at game.  These young men love to guide and share there passion for the sport.

The best part is the camp cook.  If you like home cooked roast beef dinners with mashed potatoes, gravy and all the trimmings this is the place for you.  Oh!  I do need to mention the home made bread, pies, brownies and cookies. So don't plan on coming to camp to loose weight.

My father was an Outfitter who took clients to the Bob Marshal Wilderness in the 1960’s. As a young man I had the pleasure of helping out. Stock needed to be saddled and gear mannied and then packed on the big stout mules. My Dad taught me the Diamond Hitch and it had to be perfect. Once in camp you set up tents and chopped lots of firewood. Then the meat pole was set up and you learned how to dress the game and take care of the caps. I loved it and was so excited to be a part of it. My father passed away at an early age and I was only 15 and too young to run it so Mom sold the business to help make ends meet.
